A hidden gem by the ocean, our wellness studio lives inside a sun-drenched marina space, steps from Water Street

More Than a Studio

The Livingroom Collective was born from a desire to create something deeply needed yet often missing—especially in the years since the pandemic. As our world shifted, many of the spaces that once brought women together—places for movement, connection, learning, and healing, from birthing classes to mom’s groups—quietly disappeared or went virtual. I felt the loss of these spaces deeply. As a designer, mother, and passionate advocate for holistic wellness, I envisioned something new: a space that felt grounding and beautiful, both intimate and expansive—like walking into a living room, not just a studio.

Nestled by the ocean in an old marina just off Water Street, The Livingroom Collective is more than a wellness space—it’s a softer pace, a return to ourselves, and a growing community of women supporting women. Our offerings are rooted in the principles of functional health, supporting the whole person through a healthy mind, strong body, nourishing food, and meaningful connection. We believe in the power of education, movement, and community—curating classes and events that support you through every season of life. Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, hormonal shifts, postpartum healing, or simply seeking space to reconnect with yourself, this is a place to feel held, supported, and inspired.

About me

Hi, I’m Elin — the founder of The Livingroom Collective.

Born and raised in Sweden, I spent over a decade in New York working as a fashion designer—an experience that shaped both my eye for detail and my deep appreciation for aesthetics. But even in one of the world’s most creative cities, I found myself in an industry that often felt disconnected from wellbeing. It was highly competitive, fast-paced, and—perhaps most painfully—lacking in genuine support between women. The pressure, stress, and culture of perfection eventually led me to walk away.

I went on to start my own design business, which I’ve now been running for 13 years. But over time, my passion shifted toward something deeper: creating space for women to feel good in their bodies and supported in their lives—not just seen for how they look. The Livingroom Collective is a reflection of that evolution.

Now based in Rhode Island, and currently expecting my third child, I felt a renewed urgency to build the kind of space I longed for during major life transitions: one that blends beauty with meaning, design with wellness, and structure with softness. A place where women can reconnect—with themselves and with each other.

My mission is simple but deeply felt: to offer a warm, welcoming environment where women are supported in mind, body, and spirit—through movement, community, functional wellness, and education. Whether you're navigating pregnancy, burnout, or a shift in identity, this space was created for you.
