Childbirth Series
Join us for a childbirth education series designed to help you and your partner feel prepared, grounded, and empowered for labor, birth, and early postpartum.
Rooted in the Birthing From Within philosophy, this class blends evidence-based education with mindfulness and hands-on tools for navigating birth with confidence and calm. You’ll learn breathwork, mindfulness, and pain-coping techniques to meet labor with presence and resilience.
We’ll explore the stages and physiology of birth, informed decision-making, and practical comfort measures for both partners, including positioning, touch, and communication. You’ll also gain insight into common interventions such as epidurals, inductions, and cesareans.
The final session focuses on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and ways partners can offer meaningful support. Each participant receives a take-home toolkit for labor and postpartum comfort.
Held in a warm, small-group setting with time for discussion and reflection. Please bring a journal and pen. Partners are warmly encouraged to attend.
Taught by birth doula Emily Frank — learn more at emilyfrank.co.

We focus on building the strength and resilience needed for a healthy pregnancy, a smoother birth, and a faster postpartum recovery. Beyond the physical practice, this class is also about connection—offering a nurturing space to build community and share support with other pregnant women on a similar journey.

Led by an experienced instructor with over 15 years of expertise in prenatal and postnatal movement, this class focuses on deep core activation, pelvic stability, posture, and breath. Using birthing balls, light weights, and intentional movement, you'll build strength where it matters most, safely and effectively.

Whether you’re brand new to movement or returning to fitness, you’ll be met with encouragement, modifications, and community. Pelvic Floor Strength & Wellness Series
Join Rhode Island Pelvic Wellness at The Living Room Collective for a four-week course focused on all things pelvic floor during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Whether you're planning a vaginal birth or a C-section, this course is designed to support your unique journey and prepare you for birth with confidence and clarity.
Led by expert pelvic floor physical therapists, each one-hour session blends education with movement-based practice. You'll learn about pelvic floor anatomy, strategies for staying active and pain-free during pregnancy, and how to build a deeper connection with your pelvic floor. The course will also guide you through essential techniques to prepare your body for labor and delivery, including ways to reduce the risk of perineal tearing and pelvic organ prolapse, and how to promote a more efficient and supported birth experience.
In addition to education, each session includes guided exercises designed to enhance pelvic mobility, connect with your breath, core and pelvic floor, and offer practical tools for decreasing discomfort while staying active. Immediate postpartum care and early recovery strategies will also be covered, so you leave feeling prepared not just for birth, but for what comes after.
