Pelvic Floor Strength & Wellness Series
Join Rhode Island Pelvic Wellness at The Living Room Collective for a four-week course focused on all things pelvic floor during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Whether you're planning a vaginal birth or a C-section, this course is designed to support your unique journey and prepare you for birth with confidence and clarity.
Led by expert pelvic floor physical therapists, each one-hour session blends education with movement-based practice. You'll learn about pelvic floor anatomy, strategies for staying active and pain-free during pregnancy, and how to build a deeper connection with your pelvic floor. The course will also guide you through essential techniques to prepare your body for labor and delivery, including ways to reduce the risk of perineal tearing and pelvic organ prolapse, and how to promote a more efficient and supported birth experience.
In addition to education, each session includes guided exercises designed to enhance pelvic mobility, connect with your breath, core and pelvic floor, and offer practical tools for decreasing discomfort while staying active. Immediate postpartum care and early recovery strategies will also be covered, so you leave feeling prepared not just for birth, but for what comes after.

Childbirth Series
Childbirth Series
Join us for a childbirth education series designed to help you and your partner feel prepared, grounded, and empowered as you approach labor, birth, and early postpartum.Rooted in the Birthing From Within philosophy, this series blends evidence-based education with mindfulness, creative exercises, and practical tools for navigating birth with confidence and intention.
What You’ll Learn & Receive:
This class is designed for expectant parents, providing education and support for your heart and mind. Together, you'll explore how to mobilize your inner resources through breathwork, mindfulness, and pain-coping practices that help you meet the unknowns of labor with presence and resilience. We’ll also cover the stages of labor, the physiology of birth, and strategies for informed decision-making, plus practical skills like positioning, hands-on comfort techniques, and tips for navigating common interventions such as epidurals, inductions, and cesareans.
We'll spend time preparing for postpartum, including learning about newborn feeding, what to expect in the first few weeks, and ways partners can offer meaningful support. Each participant will receive a list of take-home toolkit for labor and postpartum comfort. Held in a small-group setting, the series includes time for discussion, reflection, and real connection in a welcoming space.
Please bring a journal/notebook and pen. Partners are warmly encouraged to attend each class, but it’s okay if they can’t make them all.
